Home built oilfield pump model
« on: March 24, 2024, 06:30:55 am »
I thought this might be of interest, my recently completed oilfield pump model.
Built using largely scrap materials with Meccano gears & collars, the beam support assembly is all 1/16 inch strip wood and the base is about 10 inches long.
Powered by a 1970's Jensen 65 on gas - the gear train is a little noisy and the pump is a bit less effective than I hoped for but I'm quite pleased with the end result, hope you like it too:

Impressive model especially for scratch built - and it really runs good.  Well done!

Great job Dave, looks like you're in Oklahoma. I hope you don't hit a gusher,
that would make a mess on the ceiling.
