It’s that time of year again...
« on: November 13, 2020, 09:41:45 am »
...time for some cold weather steaming  ;D

Not too cold yet, but cold enough to show a good amount of steam... 18° F or roughly -8° C

Yes, I was whistling back at a train in the distance at the end...  :D

You mean to tell me that you are within sound of the RR tracks, and you don't have a train running in your yard yet?

Nice turbine by the way .... seems a really solid unit compared to the old Wilesco T-90.

I never really got into trains (yet everyone thinks that’s what I collect  :D ). It’s probably because I grew up in the ‘90’s and the trains just weren’t as interesting as what others used to go train spotting for... I grew up only a few blocks from the tracks and am now only 2 blocks further... the trains pass through 3 to 4 times a day here. My interest has alway been in farm equipment.

The T-90 is what made me turn my nose up at the T125... It wasn’t until I watched Bill’s (Airspyder) video this past spring and seeing how well it powers all the Gintschel accessories and being made by him that I had to have one. At that point I thought they were no longer available and just assumed I had to be on the lookout for a secondhand model... Then I spotted them on Ministeam’s site at quite a discount and wanted to talk as many of you guys into them as I could as it’s a really nice engine for a newer Wilesco  ;)

My favorite part  8)

Thanks Bruce, can’t wait to see yours with mods  ;)

This video was just a teaser, I actually made a special one for Christmas, but I feel like I need to wait till after Thanksgiving to post that one.  ;)  I don’t even let my wife decorate for Christmas till the day after  :D

Love seeing your snow pics, especially as it was 31° here yesterday and we had the A/C on!

That's a really nice addition to the collection Nick.

Thanks Jim, still pretty warm here, just been turning the furnace on for about a half an hour before bed and again for about a half an hour when I wake up.
