For added realism, a minor concern could be the direction of rotation.
It appears as the wind hits the wings from the rear, which shouldn´t be possible on a windmill of this type.
(unless your camera speed tricks my perception)
I have a standalone hammer-motor here as well...
It nicely doubles as a well functioning dynamo, when driven from a steam engine, since it is the exact same unit used as the dynamo on the Tornado turbine.
Jan, you are very observant...I need to switch the wires going into the banana jacks so that the windmill spins as one would look at if from the front. I noticed same as you, but only AFTER I made the video!!
I would love to know the original source for that DC motor/dynamo Karsten used in his hammer/forge accessory...it could be useful in other ways !
