Restored Jensen 25R: First Steam-up
« on: August 13, 2019, 04:26:47 pm »
This is a video of the first steam-up of my Restored Jensen 25R.  I still have a serious leak in the sight glass to address, but it ran really well in spite of the leak.

A great project for under $100.

Below is the original thread on the restoration:

Charlie, that is a beautiful runner...congrats on the restoration.  Sight glass leak should be an easy fix.

That is definitely a looker now, Charlie- and a runner too! I love this variant with the stepped pulley and heavy flywheel. Have you pinned a date on it yet?
Either way, well done.

A black firebox cast iron base Jensen 25 is a must have for any collection.

Thanks for all of your nice feedback.

I will address the leaky sight glass when I return from vacation.

And now I am on the hunt for my next restoration candidate!
