Bing 130/114
« on: July 04, 2021, 04:11:12 am »
Here is my Bing 130/114 powering my Jensen 100 workshop. <br>

this is by far my favorite engine

Anyone know what year it may actually be?  I figure its about 90 to 100 years old now.

Here is just the engine running.  It is in my opinion a super smooth runner.  I think I am the 2nd or 3rd owner.

Love steam engines, especially older German made.  Love the more clockwork style.  Addicted to this stuff!

Can certainly see why that´d be a favourite...beautiful engine!

Don´t know enough about Bing to pin it to an exact year, but here it is in the 1912 catalogue:

The model has the diamond GBN logo upfront but the BW (bing werks) logo on back. I figured 1912 to 1925?  Thanks so much for sharing the advertisement page Jan.  I will post some detailed pictures.

Followed your page on youtube you have magnificent videos so far as i can tell.

An exceptionally well preserved machine considering its age.

I was following that one on ebay but already have it.  its the 130/112 Vulcan if im researched correct.  I have the 130/114 as shown in video.  Here is a picture of both next to each other.  I need to fix the sight glass on my vulcan [on left] the 114 on right runs like a champion.  The vulcan should too once i steam for first time.  The burners have been hard to come by and such so I havent had up and running as fast as I wanted.  Fixed the 114 burner today look in restorations ill post later

A beautiful engine ,your video is very clear.  I really like the enclosed governor gearbox.

It's nice to see the two machines side by side. Two gems.
