Marklin "engine house" comes to life

Finally got around to making a video of this early Marklin "machine hall" or engine house. After several generations of being played with, it's not a strong runner, but is still able to drive its lineshaft. Compounding didn't help in this case as exhaust steam from the high pressure cylinder is a very weak driver of the low pressure cylinder. https://youtu.be/iYytivlIfaw?si=J5Fun9J-IH5XcY6R

Very nice Brent,  I never knew such a machine shop even existed,  but it's no surprise to me you found such an intact copy.

Thanks Stoker. Actually the base is only 17" x 12.5" which is not very large by Marklin standards.

I'm sure that's an understatement Brent, I imagine you have quite a bit a labor into it and still kept its "played with" appearance.

Amazing, that's one I could watch all day. That being said I would probably be running

Thanks Tommy. Yes, I'll be running it on air from here on out. very difficult to fill and empty the boiler for steam.
