Hi Rob, LS Loc was the only maker I recall that made HO sized live steam.
They had a couple versions of the Rocket and another longer loco.

Here is Kenneth's video of one.

If I'm not mistaken there has been a fairly recent Chinese produced HO live steam locomotive, but it wasn't very scale looking and had a clear glass bulb for a tender, that was the actual boiler. Many years ago there was a production run by a regular manufacturer (Hornby) , of an English prototype locomotive that was really well done to scale, but I think it often had issues with getting it to run properly, but when it did, it was impressive.

Here is somebody's webpage dedicated to their experience with them:

https://www.scottpages.net/ReviewOfLiveSteam.html

Hope that helps some.

The Sans-Pareil and the Crampton were also made by LS-LOC, I still NEED the Crampton...

Bill @AirSpyder recently bought one of the Chinese HO locos

Lutz Hielscher made several HO models, I was lucky to win 3 from the same seller. The Tram cost me the most

I have a Lutz Hielscher HO Grasshopper and an LS-LOC mini-rocket.

A while back I made Dr. Senft's Dickins in O-gauge, and recently have been thinking of making another in HO; perhaps you'd like to try that.

The Luton Bowman is very rare and the Mersey even rarer so much so that it is  a 1 off
