Hi all, I have acquired this little tinplate steamboat and would like to know what make it is. The ugly paint is obviously a more recent addition. Inside there's a lot of grime, which suggests it's been lying around for a very long time.
The engine seems very old and has a cast flywheel/crankshaft, the boiler is a rectangular shape I haven't seen before.
There are traces of more recent soldering.I don't know what to say about the chimney, which doubles as the water refill plug.The keel seems to be made of lead, to add weight.
Does anybody know what make this boat could be? I assume it is German, as the hull looks similar to other boats I have seen.

Length 26,5 cm without rudder
Width 6 cm

A very small steam powered tin boat .... I'll get me hat!!! ;c)
Several close examples in Mr. Gagage's Toy Bazaar 1902-1906, but no exact matches with a flat boiler.
Several in the 10" size range.
I would date it in the 1900-1910 era.
Is there a burner for it?
Thanks! It didnt come with a burner. I'm not even sure the boiler is original.
