Ertl John Deere 3hp cast iron toy "modified." "SOLD"
« on: December 30, 2023, 08:00:19 pm »
I modified this Ertl 3hp cast iron toy to be ran by a steam engine, I replace the axle with a 3/16" od axle, reamed out the bore to a tight tolerance & added 2 oil ports to lubricate the axle. & tapered the drive pulley to accept a flat belt or round belt.this is 30+ yrs. old so not brand new by any means, but in very good shape with minimal paint loss or scratch's, I just enjoy converting these. I priced them on Ebay and they sell for more than I'm asking with no work done to them. $50 (inc. shipping to US) just pm me if interested please. I will inc. a Poly belt to drive it & (2) wheel chocks to help hold it in place.

Bruce, though this one is "SOLD", I would be interested to buy a similar ERTL toy modified as you have this one...just in case you have another...beautiful work.
