Emco-Maier precision mini milling (and drilling) machine. Made in Austria in the 1980s and no longer available. Very little used and in excellent mechanical and cosmetic condition. This is a rarely seen complete Emco mill with full cast and ground compound table and not simply the milling attachment for their Compact 5 & 8 lathes. Later improved version with recesses for T-nuts/bolts at each end of the table. Very heavy full-width 4” x 16” table fitted with large engraved micrometer dials (inches) and large handwheels. Quiet 110 volt 200 watt, fan-cooled, capacitor-equipped motor with built-in switch; three belt-driven speeds: 450, 800 and 1900 rpm. The tall solid steel main column gives a clearance of 8” between spindle nose and the top surface of the table. Equipped with Emco’s optional collet holder and 3/8” ER25 collet for firmly gripping most common small milling cutters although any ER25 collet can be used. Three milling cutters and Rohm 1/32” to 5/16” drill chuck (made in Germany) for drilling are included. This machine is finely constructed and ideal for small and intricate work.
