"The Robert Fulton line" vertical steam engine $70 now
« on: January 06, 2025, 06:09:34 pm »
Running my simple Robert Fulton candlestick vertical steam engine. It was in pretty good shape but as is common with these steel boiler Fulton's...they are prone to rust through somewhere, this one was no exception  I had to replace the bottom with a nice 2mm thick copper plate soldered in with high temp solder. It is now tight & works as designed. This is for sale, I would like $70 + shipping to the US only.i probably have at least 3 hrs labor in this steam engine, I gave around $50 for it, I'm making nothing on it. its pretty light.
video made today...

instructions say 4oz.  after 15 min with a jensen 100 load it used about 1.5oz, it can most likely run 1 hour no load but may need to unplug heater.  these seem very balancrf however one of my favorites.

Love steam engines, especially older German made.  Love the more clockwork style.  Addicted to this stuff!
