KARSTEN GINTSCHEL "MIASHITA" turbo-generator set SOLD SOLS
« on: September 10, 2019, 08:59:22 pm »
Greetings friends! This is the last machine remaining from my collection of Karsten Gintasxchel's Greetings friends! This is the last machine remaining from my collection of Karsten Gintschel's turbines and accessories. This is the "Miashita" turbine and dynamo set, created by Karsten as a wedding gift for one of his best friends, who married a lady from Japan, the machine name being the maiden name of the bride. The name, in characters, is engraved on the badge mounted on  the front rail of the dynamo.

Karsten gave me all the history of this turbine after I purchased it from his friend who sold it due to unfortunate circumstances he was experiencing in his life at the time. According to Karsten, this is a variation of one of his three "Bellini" turbines he made. He mentioned he sent one of them to the UK, but the second one he gave no location. This makes this machine a one-of-a-kind model made from one of three models in a series.
Unfortunately, I never asked Karsten about any extra items he added to this particular turbine over and above the other two "Bellini" machines. A highlight is extra LEDs in the bottom of the condensate trough and three mounted in the wood base that give a different glow to the turbine when it's running in the dark. The whole unit, with fuel/water syringe, is packaged in the classic box Karsten made for his earlier machines.

There are two bare spots, one on the boiler and one on the smokestack, that will need to be touched up with clear orange lacquer. My travels have been limited lately, and as soon as I can either find a small can of orange lacquer, or even get a small bit made up at an automotive specialty store, I will cover those very small areas.
Unfortunately, due to financial  limitations I no longer have PayPal. Payments within Canada can be made via Interac e-Transfer, I have a USD bank account with the Bank of Nova Scotia, so a bank wire transfer is possible from USA and all other buyers. Other methods can be discussed and agreed to very easily.

I do have a nice video made up, and I'll try to load it onto Onedrive to be able to email it to members should they wish to watch it.

Price is $275.00USD plus shipping at cost. Message or email me for a quote.

Thanks for looking!

I see all replies tom this post have disappeared. If anyone did reply expressing interest in this model turbine, please help me out by sending another quick reply. I'm not sure what is happening or if was/is something I did, but I don't want anyone to miss the opportunity.

Thanks!

I think I might be losing my mind. I apologize for all the confusion.

This sure is a rarity, as far as Gintschel products goes.

Best of luck with your sale Dave !

Hello Jan! Yes, I've owned a full Tornado Line, including Serial #001 Six Arrows Ferris Wheel and #001 Tornado turbo-gen, as well as many other rare, prototype, and singular editions of Karsten's wonderful work. 19 in total.
In the future I will start to collect Karsten's pieces all over again!

Another very original steam plant from Mr Gintschel. He always surprises me with his creations and has a very recognisable style.
