Selling 1890s SIPP STEAM ENGINE 1/4 HP Working Steam Engine from Sweat Shop in Philadelphia.
The tag reads: This working steam engine was purchased at a Philadelphia estate sale. The owner ran a sewing factory where this engine was used to wind bobbins.
Another tag reads: Circa 1890 Mfg in NJ by Sipp Engine Company
Sold by Goodnow & Whiteman, Boston, Ma. This would have been the Sipp Electric & Machine Company of Paterson, New Jersey.

Still has about half of the original paint. some air leaks by the piston which is nothing unusual for a 120 year old working steam engine. This one had a job. It was belted up to a bobbin winding machine in a Philly sweat shop.

I have had this engine for 20 years and it's time to let a new custodian enjoy it.
