   Here I have a set of six very small "AHI" workshop tool models from Japan, I believe these date from the early 1960s, but could be a bit earlier. I thought I would offer them here first before going to e-bay, in case anyone here might want them. These are all-metal models, the painted chassis parts are presumably zinc, with other small parts in steel and brass. As far as I know, these are some of the smallest contemporary workshop tools ever made. A lot of nice details. Not rare exactly, but I would say uncommon, and I have seen some of the more elaborate examples go for as much as $50 (the lathe, drilling machine, and milling machine).

    At one point I found a good reference for these, fortunately I wrote it all down, as I can no longer find it. This set includes (their names and model numbers): #5932-2; Lathe, #5932-3; milling machine, #5932-4; drilling machine, #5932-5; power press; #5932-7; circular saw, and # 5932-8; grinder. They are all in excellent working condition with all parts as far as I know, with the sole exception of the power press. The power press had suffered damage, with the legs broken at the bottom, and the cam drive no longer works; I cut the legs back so that it still stands up just fine. This is an almost complete set, the other tools in the complete set include a line shaft (#5932-1), hacksaw (#5932-6), and a battery-powered motor (#5932-9).
