Stuart No. 9 with reversed steamchest and pump (SOLD)
« on: May 02, 2019, 04:58:04 pm »
Putting this out there. I built a Stuart No. 9 and flipped the steamchest opposite the drawings. I also added a governor and homemade pump. It also has a bypass valve added to it. Oil cups as well. Broke in on steam and runs good on air also. Mounted on a teak cutting board. Can provide videos if asked to do so for sale.

$1200 plus shipping

I have had the opportunity to personally view this engine , and can attest to the build quality, Jed is very precise and Accurate in his builds,  this engine reflects his skills. it is priced very reasonably for what it is.

I will run it on steam first. I have to go to my father's to run it on air with a gauge. And also hook up the pump. It will go on ebay if it does not sell here first.

Thanks Bruce!

Nick, it could be yours!😄

That is a lovely example of a Stuart No9, nice that it has both the pump and governor extras fitted too.

Good luck with the sale Jed!

I had an amazing dream last night that I actually needed another Stuart No. 9 even though I'm starting to downsize my collection - I love the human mind and it's ability to rationalize even inappropriate behavior! It'll look good in the new display cabinet if it's still available - PM sent.

I think many of us could say that Larry (and we do) one thing I know about a quality built engine is that they always seem to hold their value.
