Jensen #75EL live steam engine (ball bearings) "SOLD"
« on: August 31, 2020, 02:27:58 pm »
I simply cant keep them all....end of summer clear out
One of my latest projects , I call a Jensen #75el (electrified) this is a dual fuel engine with a 600W cartridge heater placed in a brass sleeve that is soldered in the bottom rear of the boiler, I have a 2K watt voltage reducer controlling the power to the heater, the voltage reducer has a custom SPS radial bezel. the firebox ,chimney base & chimney have all been bead blasted & repainted VHT "burnt copper" paint, the metal base plate has been bead blasted & repainted a Jensen  hammertone blue. ball bearings have been placed in the axle supports (stanchions) & a longer axle has been utilized & a 5 tiered custom pulley machined for that longer axle. a custom machined valve & steam line has been fabricated especially for this engine in the Jensen #50 style, this valve has precision control & is leak free & professionally nickel plated. I vented the chimney support to help keep the electronics hidden away inside cooler. the cord is a heavy 16awg & came from Jensen Mfg.  this plant takes 3-4 minutes to produce operating steam & has an abundance of power, I tune everything to run at its most optimum performance....& it does.
price is $300 "INCLUDING" shipping to anywhere in the Continental US.
Pm me if interested. this is currently on Ebay right now , & for some reason it doesn't seem to show up when I search for Jensen steam engines, I will probably need to relist it anyway if it doesn't sell here .

doing quite a lot of work...

It does show here Bruce, i guess you´ve been "helped" to a wrong setting on Ebay?
In another stupid attempt to make things that worked useless, their latest annoying "assistance" feature, automaticly limit my search to "Vintage and Antique Toys", whenever i search directly for Jensen steam these days.
So i manually have to change it to "All categories" to get the rest included as well...incl. your current Jensen 75EL listing.
Cheers

Great rig, Bruce!

Jan, a big THANK YOU..!!  For pointing out the failings of ebay's newest quirk of idiocy. I had not noticed that and I did notice my searches were coming up light. Selecting all categories makes a big difference.
If you have time please start a threat explaining this in our ebay board.

Indeed, I've been wondering what's been going on as well, as I keep finding items more or less by accident, that didn't show up in the original searches. Now that I've made that subtle change that Jan has kindly recommended, I've gone from 44 Jensen steam engines to 91 showing up on an eBay search. Big Difference!

Thanks Jan!!!
