That offers much of the elegance of the larger engines, with a much smaller footprint.

Certainly not a bad thing when the shelves are full up!

These simple, little ones with lots of color will always be my favorite!

Mine too Nick.

Did you buy it off of eBay recently?

I was tempted to make the seller an offer.

But, I have been on a bit of a buying spree lately and I am quickly running out of room again.  ;D

Yes, I made quite a few offers back and forth, he finally took my last one available. He’s had some nice stuff and been collecting for a long time.

I can’t wait to see what your spending spree has included!

Another nice one Nick.

The sight glass sure is in a unique position.

I am certain that this is going to end up being the longest thread in Forum history.  :)

Hopefully I can keep up during the summer!

It’s already the longest and almost there on most views  :D

Day 77: J. & E. Stevens, Frisbie’s Beam Engine

Not perfect, but price was right. Top half repainted long ago, but luckily they left the boiler original

I really like these Frisbie's Beam Engines. Somebody's always thinking,
I'm talking about that wire between the valve and the connecting rod.

Day 78: A Märklin that I had missed in Eberhard Lüthke‘s sale in 2017 because I was waiting for other pieces. Luckily Gil won it because it went too cheap and offered it to me at a fair price at NAMES. I was also lucky to find the magazine in Germany that features this very engine.

Oh, I remember that one Nick, I probably couldn't replicate that valve again, tons of work into that little guy. thanks for showing it again. :)

Nick, the shrouded boiler engines are always a treat and the tin work on the Märklin one especially.

I bet it fires well even in a breeze. 😉
