My Empire B-31 Quartet is now a Quintet
« on: December 22, 2023, 02:48:59 pm »
I received a package from Belgium this week from Danny.

He gifted me a B-31 Empire “Hotpoint” engine.  This was the version of the B-31 for the UK Market.  This is my fifth B-31 and they all have different Name Plates; as well as variations in the handles and whistle tops.

It also came with the original cord which also has the “Hotpoint” logo on it.

I have tested it on air and it ran great.  I need to address the dent in the top and paint the handles (which were missing when I received it).  I used my last spare whistle on this one.

You've had spare Empire whistle tops?

Unheard of ....... now I know where they've all disappeared to!!!    ;c)

Hi Charlie, I love that Hotpoint tag!

That is a great addition to your already great Empire collection.

And good on you, Danny!

Outstanding collection of B31 brands!  A bit jealous but I've told myself not to go that direction in collecting LOL!

Those early whistle tops are not easy to come by, I finally gotten all my early engines with the correct toppers just this week.

Nice collection Charlie, there's an Empire 31 on Ebay right now that looks pretty good.
