This came the other day, and I thought I would do a review and do some testing to see if it met the specs advertised. Sadly, it didn't even come close. It is rated up to 1 amp at 12 volts, and although it easily attained the 12 volts at about 2000 rpm, it would only light one 200 milliamp incandescent bulb. I started with four bulbs in parallel at 200 milliamps each and it would not light them at all, and then went down, one step at a time, until there was only one bulb left, which it did light. However, if you intend to use this generator in a model display with incandescent lighting, you'll be disappointed. However, it will operate a number of smaller LED lamps. 250 milliamps seems to be the extent of the load it can carry.
Still, I'm very happy with the generator. It has a nice look, is a nice size for model engine displays, and has a price that can't be beat.
