Stuart D-10 Engine
« on: January 29, 2020, 06:14:48 pm »
This is the D-10 engine I bought from the consignment sale at Cabin Fever.  I finally got a chance to run it on air today.  I've not yet run it on steam, but it certainly runs great on air, at 1 psi or less!

Not only does it look good, but it runs great too  8)

Always a gamble when buying second-hand Stuarts, but you lucked out on that one  ;D

I have to agree Nick, about the risk with any used steam engine, but a little less risk when you can see it in person, as opposed to ebay.

Bonjour Bruce,
Great machine indeed. Please take in account tht it is made of cast iron so can rust easily in the cylinder and on side valves surface.
This is what happened to the second hand D10 of my launch Moune and I have added a screw cap on the heads of the cylinders to inject oil after a test on steam.
