Only piece for sale in the flea market, a Weeden 43 (note the broken flywheel). Asked the seller what he wanted and he says “$100… I don’t know what they’re worth… make an offer” I was too scared to make a low offer figuring I’d be stuck with it 😂

After running through all that, I'll bet you were envious of him getting a nap and not you!
Looks like some nice stuff on display, besides just the big toys, so what have you brought home from this excursion?

I offered him $40.00 and he accepted that. It is currently in the cleanup stage. Besides the broken flywheel, it is missing the chimney, and it is apparently missing the guard that covers the site glass, which I have seen on every other NP 43. Anyone have any parts?

I’m glad I didn’t say $50 then

(sight glass, whistle and safety valve are worth that) I didn’t want or need it as I have both the brass/blued chimney 43 and a boxed nickel boiler/chimney 43. A 43 was my first ebay steam engine and still one of my favorite toy steamers. They are a very quiet and smooth runner. I have 2 boxes of Weeden parts, but I may not get to them for a couple of weeks… Does it have the double grooved pulley on the opposite side? I didn’t even look…
Find any others while you were there?

Haha, nothing followed me home from this one

The double grooved pulley is there. The boiler itself and the heating element and cord are in real nice shape, as are the safety valve and whistle. I looked at the inside of the boiler with my little bore scope and its very clean. There is a little blob of solder rattling around, but I hope it will fall out of one of the holes. All in all I am pleased at $40.00
No others at Albany, But I did get a Mamod SE1A in the box at a different Flea Market the next day for $50.00. Looks like it has been steamed once.

I was finally able to watch the videos Nick ,I really like that Osakis yellow panel van. And Jakey is a cutie, small wonder the ladies were smitten with him.
