It sure is tempting to try and make the trip out there!!
Don't mean to be a grinch, but let's hope there's no post-holiday surge in covid from the omicron variant. Given the large crowds, are they at least requiring masks?
"are they at least requiring masks?"
God , I hope not !
Good luck guys, I hope you enjoy it very much; and stay safe. I will pass this year trying not to expose my 85 year old mother in law who is now living with us to COVID.
Hello all!
First sorry for my lack of posts. I assure it is only an artifact of being very busy this year!
As of now we are very much planning to have to the show. We have been advertising in all the usual places. Attached is a flyer for this year. We have made some minor tweaks. The show time change is more an adjustment to "what happens at the show" more than trying to make a change. No one will be rushed out Sunday, we'll have air on in the morning, etc. However Friday and Saturday have always been the busy days so we are adjusting to this new schedule.
As for the Covid situation - We will be following all guidelines as required. We will certainly be encouraging masks and distancing to the best of everyone's ability. Again, any requirements will be those place on us.
The auctions have shifted to all Online Only bidding. The plan is to however still have the items on site for inspection and pickup following the sales. Bidding can be done on phones, tablets, laptops, etc and we plan to have some minimal bids accepted for those without devices. Terms and information for this will be coming soon.
We missing seeing everyone at the show and are certainly hoping we are able to enjoy the weekend as we all have missed the comradery this past year.

Thanks Jared. Will you have wi-fi in the building this year? That's the only way I could participate in the "online only" auction; don't believe there was any wi-fi there in the past.
Jared will you have the usual "for sale" area as in the past ?

There has always been internet available but you had to pay for it. I was never a fan but I'm very happy to tell you that it was recently (this year) opened up to free access guest wifi. I tested it last weekend and it is quite good. There are access points in each room and my understanding is that each will handle ~300 each so there should not be an issue. Thanks!

Yes, there will be the usual Consignment Sales Area. With the online auctions requiring a little less staff, we should have more staff to help the check in/ check out in this area as well! Thanks!
Pennsylvania now has one of the fastest rising hospitalization rates in the country due to covid (up 40% in the last two weeks up to 23 Dec). I'm waiting to see what happens before deciding to attend this year.
I will not be there this year.
A good friend scheduled his wedding for January 15th.
