[ Guests cannot view attachments ] One of only two Roper Steam bikes known. Alexander Roper was also famous for inventing an open cycle hot air engine which was manufactured in the 1870s, one of which is in the Henry Ford museum.

I posted a short video of an amazing Rider Engine Co. Engine which we had the privilege to see running on our Road Trip.

We visited Graceland in Memphis yesterday and had dinner with my daughter and two of her friends at “Flight” last night.

Today, we make the final push for home. Two weeks on the Road and 4,000 miles driven.

Sunday, we will go to Fort Worth for the Stock Show and Rodeo.

Lots of steaming to do over the next five days before our tour of Texas.

Next Friday we will drive to Waco to visit the Dr. Pepper Museum and then on to San Antonio for two days. Saturday is the Annual Longhorn Cattle drive through the streets of San Antonio.

Our final stop will be to visit Scott in Houston and tour his fine collection on Sunday, February 2nd.

I have to say, it was a real treat to welcome Danny, Myriam(my spelling is likely wrong and many apologies), and Charlie the Wanderer. We had a great visit at the shop, and generous as always Charlie brought treasures from afar. It was fantastic to meet Danny and his wife, and I'm glad they had the time to stay a bit and visit Barber's Museum. Wishing y'all safe travels for the remainder of your journey,  and well met.

Well....we made it to Dallas on Saturday afternoon.

This afternoon Danny made an expert repair to my Weeden No. 340. I posted a video of the first Steam up in the video section.

We steamed a few more engines.

More to come....

We steamed a bunch of engines today Nick. So much more fun than doing it by myself and talking to the camera. 🤠

I bet! My wife has come home many times in the middle of the night from work to find me laying on the kitchen floor filming an engine at ground level

I really need to plan a trip to Texas, it would be fun!
