There are a few options my way for shows...
LeSueur is about 1 1/2 hrs away, not the biggest show, but well attended and has the dedicated Miniatureland building (which is sadly getting less and less displays) and railroad. This is the show that I was told I was allowed to run on steam (would have to confirm that) and like all shows, air is available... and probably a lot easier, but where's the fun in that
LeSueur is also close to the Twin Cities area, and we now have 4 members that I know around there. August 28-30th
http://www.pioneerpowershow.com/show.htmlRollag is well known as the biggest show that everyone in the Midwest wants to attend besides Mt. Pleasant, IA. I have been to both and I thought Rollag was the better of the two. Rollag has a Miniatureland of many 1/4, 1/3 and 1/2 scale traction engines, hay presses and separators... And within Miniatureland they have a building for the smaller models and toys. I have seen Clif Roemmich here many times. Rollag is roughly 5 hrs northwest of me and is the weekend after LeSueur - September 4-7th (Labor Day Weekend)
