STIA 2023 Abbey Pumping Station
« on: March 08, 2023, 05:38:18 am »
Hi,

Last weekend my wife and I visited Abbey Pumping Station and Steam Toys in Action.  Alas, I have a chest infection so couldn't stay in the thick atmosphere of the exhibits hall very long, so I didn't take much video there.

I hope you enjoy the video even with out too many models.

Take care Tony.

A very nice video Tony, thanks for taking the time to make it for us. I'm always amazed that those wonderful pumping stations survived the war, I would have though those might have been a prime target.

Thank You Tony! It seems like there is never enough footage taken at STIA and very surprising how many members in the UK miss out on such a special event… they don’t know how lucky they are to have something so close to them!

Hi Nick,

I couldn't agree more. A good day out for only £4 an adult! And the train rides I think were only 50p (half a £1), and the catering was equally reasonable. I believe they had between 400 and 500 adult visitors during the midday to 4.30 pm opening.

Take care Tony.
