That Southern Railroad 1407 Pacific absolutely knocks my socks off!
It couldn't be more beautiful if it was a classical Greek sculpture!!!
Who built that?
The Pacific was started by Arthur Johnson of Chicago, and finished by Tom Hiltner here in Minnesota.
Of note is the star sapphire embedded in the end of the Johnson Bar. Also note the numbers stamped on the throttle quadrant.
