Inge's Turntable Table

Here are a few additions to my Turntable Table.
First is a 1" scale, 4-3/4" ga. Pacific locomotive , coal fired.  This is a very close rendition of the full size Southern Crescent locomotive in the Smithsonian. [ Guests cannot view attachments ]

Next is a 1" scale, 4-3/4" ga. Great Northern P2 Mountain type, propane fired. [ Guests cannot view attachments ]

Forgot to add this oddball.  A British tank engine with an odd gauge, about 4-9/16", 1" scale Tilbury Tank engine. Burner is missing, but I believe it to be alcohol fired.  Probably built in the 1930's.

That Southern Railroad 1407 Pacific absolutely knocks my socks off!

It couldn't be more beautiful if it was a classical Greek sculpture!!!

Wow! Outstanding locomotives!  I used to belong to a local club years ago but never built one.

The Pacific was started by Arthur Johnson of Chicago, and finished by Tom Hiltner here in Minnesota.
Of note is the star sapphire embedded in the end of the Johnson Bar. Also note the numbers stamped on the throttle quadrant.

Jaw-dropping!

More than just the numbering of the throttle quadrant, there are all the stop notches for the obviously functional pinch-lever on the throttle.

While all those locomotives are great, the green Southern at the top is absolutely stunning!
