I like the Märklin so much that I have somehow ended up with two of them here :D

And that Cranko! Check it out @Scorpion2nz

Ouch Nick
Not sure what I am supposed to say about the Cranko
Except it is not original condition

Cheers
Dennis

Dennis:

Do you have any pictures of what an original should look like?

Hope this works

Thanks, Dennis.  At one time I was worried that it was a reproduction. The box is a perfect fit, but doesn't have any factory markings. My fears diminished when I discovered the stamped logo on the firebox.  It's not easy to see without sunglasses.  I wasn't sure what production changes might have been made towards the company's end -- to save money.  There just aren't many pictures of these on the web.  That said, there is this No. 2 I discovered that you likely know about.

As for the Märklin valve linkage, I haven't researched that. It doesn't look original, but it is nicely done with its matching wood handle.  It's also not something my Dad would have added.  It is interesting!
