Thanks, Dennis.  At one time I was worried that it was a reproduction. The box is a perfect fit, but doesn't have any factory markings. My fears diminished when I discovered the stamped logo on the firebox.  It's not easy to see without sunglasses.  I wasn't sure what production changes might have been made towards the company's end -- to save money.  There just aren't many pictures of these on the web.  That said, there is this No. 2 I discovered that you likely know about.

Yours will be an original from Donald Cranko workshop.
Stamped Cranko inside a Diamond  . Earlier engines have Cranko NZ. ( no diamond )
When Cranko closed down some of his  parts ended up in Auckland at the “ Auckland Model Engineers “ . They assembled horizontal and vertical used a different darker green and paper label.
 The one you showed in the steam bible has been fiddled  with .
Did you look at the link i did with the -photos of my two in original used condition
