We lost Scott on February 3rd, an event that gutted us all.

He was a great friend of mine, a great friend to our hobby and to all whose lives he touched.


I feel blessed to have known him for a far too short several years. 
He was one of the finest human beings I have had the privilege to know. 
Scott was a truly good man.

I've watched Scott's visit to the Munich Toy Museum Spielzeug Museum countless times -

Well guys, I have no photos to post but still can't get over his loss. There's hardly a day goes by that I don't think of him. He last visited here in October and had a sandwich with us before hitting the road again. We kept in contact weekly and then almost daily over the past year when I've been working on this big Marklin machine shop. Scott wanted to know every detail of its restoration which I shared with him. When it's done I'm dedicating it to his memory and am so sad he could not have lived a little longer to see it finished. This leaves a big hole in my heart as I'm sure it does with many of you as well. My only regret is that we didn't take photos together on any of his visits. Enjoy the show Scott.

Thank you for sharing that Brent, you have good memories of Scott. I had planned on taking a trip to Texas before covid and was really looking forward to the chance of meeting Scott. Had always hoped he could make it to one of the shows as well.

I always thought that this big Doll traction engine was something special, and regret that he didn't hook up the drive chain and chase it around for us some!





Scott certainly did specialize in some very nice and uncommon engines.





Such a sad loss that I'm sure we all feel far too deeply to properly express!
