I've always been a model build, mainly R/C  ships and boats,, about 15 years back I ebayed a unimat SL100 which helped greatly in model work,, 2 years back I bought a LMS 3690 mill (to help with the current project) a LMS 7530 lathe arrived a few weeks back.. I'm mostly self taught, but I work at a university and within 200ft from my building is a advanced machine shop so advice is nearby.. link to the madness

What a great machine shop!

And the Navy Boat is divine.

Makes my boats look like a first grader’s art work taped on the fridge. 🤠
