Here is a video of my first engine from Jin that I got 4 years ago. Since then it has run for many hours at shows. Much of that time it powered a Jensen 15 BL generator.

At 4 years and plenty of hours it still performs nicely. The piston is brass and has no rings. The crankshaft is .116" vs .115" for the newer silver engines. The larger crank fits the bearings a lot better as in no noticeable slop.

Enjoy!

After watching the video, I can understand why you bought the machine 4 years ago.

I thank you for showing the video.
Cheers

Nice video Gil , I just got my vertical & horizontal down off the shelf Yesterday & fired them both up (have a show coming up) , once I remembered the correct rotation & changed the batteries out for fresh ones...they fired right up.

Hi Bruce, looks like your having fun over there!

Best thing to remember that on just about all hit and miss and throttle governed engines big and small is that if you are looking at the side with the governor, they rotate clockwise.

Hello Gil, it looks like you are getting good service from your blue engine.
I had forgotten the "blue" engines came with brass piston and no rings, would you say the blue engine has noticeably less compression than o-ring version? Or any thoughts on if you prefure the brass or aluminum piston? Thank you!
