Repaired a Couple of Jin's Engines for His Customers
« on: April 21, 2024, 08:12:28 pm »
This might be considered warranty work.

The customers mailed the engines to me. Both are new and had issues.

The M91 needed a new head and timing adjustments both for the ignition and the cam gear.

The H09 mini Hoglet single got a new cylinder and piston and needs a new connecting rod which I am not certain I want to tackle.
The original rod was bent and gouged part way through from scraping against the bottom of the bore on one side. I straightened the connecting rod with hand tools as well as I could without full disassembly. I did this just to get it running and tested with the new parts. It will still need a new rod as the one in this engine is considerably weakened. At the moment it runs.

I am glad Jin is standing by his products when needed.

Bonjour,
I also contacted Jin for a problem with a faulty CDI module and he immediately offered to send me a new one.
I also had problems with my M91 but a friend helped me to repair it.
China is far from France, a very small market for them and I regret that there is no more in-depth quality control before sending to the whole world.
I also had the same kind of problem with my Enjomor MK3 purchased from Stirlingkit and again, we repaired the engine ourselves.
