Fine Tuning the M92 Side Shaft Hit & Miss Gas Engine
« on: July 11, 2020, 09:29:05 pm »
I spent a little time experimenting and managed to get the hit and miss action to operate less erratic with slower running.

I know there are likely better ways to do this for those with good machining skills.

They sure are a lot more fun to watch at the slower speed  8)  why are they built to run so fast new? easier/faster production without having to fine tune each one?

Hi Gil,...you have worked you magic again & have that side-shaft running beautify slow & smooth as a Swiss watch. Well done !...maybe adding a brass tube to extend the muffler away from wood base would help. Thx for sharing your work...tom.

Hi Tom,  Yes, that would help to move the muffler out.

Do you know what the thread is?
