Hit/miss governor spring.
« on: December 27, 2019, 05:39:07 pm »
This afternoon I notice one of my governor springs on my new engine was kind of wonky and bent. This may have
happened during a clumsy hand start attempt when my fingers snagged the flywheel. Anyway, it doesn't look bad
And the engine runs, but I ordered a couple pairs of springs from McMaster carr ( who else) . The springs will be
slightly smaller in diameter. I order two different lengths 5/8 and 1/2 and different spring rates. I'll let you know
how they work out when they come. I just ordered 3/4 springs as I think I misjudged the needed length.

Actually I got the spring straightened out so it looks good and will probably cancel the orders for springs if I still can.
Anyway, never mind
