I finally received the replacement ignition for the M12, and was able to get it installed in short order. The engine needed a little tweaking to get running properly. I noticed the hall effect sensor was a bit loose(it lies trapped between the engine base and the crankcase). It was shimmed up to keep it stable, and the screws were swapped for longer ones that would engage more thread. I had to re-gap the plug, and also tightened the fasteners as there were quite a few loose, and loctite where it wasn't all. The fuel line banjo were a little loose(tightened) and after fiddling the mixture wound up at around 5/8 turn out. It has nice throttle response, and will rev pretty dang high. My mind is already going in circles for something to plop this little guy in(like a monster rc truck)
I should note, it is my understanding the designs for this engine were modified and uploaded to the web by an extremely talented engineer and craftsman G. Britnell.

I note that your switch button has not the same direction(?) and mostly your engine is musch faster than mine :
 Yes, the initial mixture settings did indeed cause mine to run similar to yours. After a little tuning, and running 3 tanks of fuel (Coleman white gas, Marvel oil 50:1), I thought it ran better and had better throttle response with a bit richer mixture.

I see no smoke on your video, did you add a drop of oil in your gasoline ?

There is smoke, I think it is just the lighting.

Hi Raphael, My M12 arrived and while the compression seems low, it doesn't seem to mind and runs OK.

I think that Benny will agree with me, this engine has not a lot of compression.
It does not matter, the important thing I have learnt is that this engine has to be started full throttle, assuming that there is s spark and that the initial carburator needles settings are correct.
About these needles, Benny, did you slightly modify the settings of your engine and if so how much ?
