Review & Test of Microcosm M14 aka Eachine EM1
« on: January 19, 2021, 09:28:38 pm »
Here is a video I just made of the new M14 by Jin.

I provided links to buy these in the YouTube description but it's free advertising as I bought the engine.

I did run it belted up to a Jensen generator and it worked great but that video did not come out.
(In other words, I did not turn on the camera properly so I will do that again soon.)

Enjoy,

Gil

Bonjour Gil,
You are the luky owner of a new Jin's engine ;D As he is very productive and has a lot of imagination, I am sure you will go on having fun for a good time, prepare a large shelf  ;)

Thanks for the video Gil.

A nice addition to Jin’s growing line up.

While I don't think Jin will manufacture anything that big......

Here are drawings for a 2X David Kerzel in metric.

It looks good, and I am glad it arrived normally.

Thanks, Jin!

The needle valve is very sensitive. It requires opening 1/4 turn. Once you get it running and adjusted, even the slightest adjustment can slow it down or stop it altogether.

I will add that this is a precisely balanced engine because the 2 reciprocating masses offset each other perfectly to provide a very smooth runner.

Here is a short video of it driving a Jensen generator with plenty of power to spare.

Enjoy,

Gil

Well that's certainly an interesting and different engine to behold. Thanks for the vid and walkthrough Gil.

Cute. His whole series is interesting. The latest four strokes are really cool as heck, and this little pup with the opposed pistons is a trip.
