Wow! Two engines arrived on the same day! With no engine shows to go to this summer, I felt that I needed another home project or two.
The first was another M-91 hit and miss engine. These usually take a little fussing with, but this one actually ran right out of the box, and only required disconnecting one of the governor springs to slow it down to a nice speed. I've had several of these and really didn't need another, but occasionally one comes along at auction at a good price, and cannot be passed up. Such was the case with this engine.
The second engine is a half-scale Fairbanks-Morse Eclipse hit and miss engine casting kit. This particular engine will involve some machining processes that are new to me, so it will present some challenges along the way, but that's what makes building them interesting! Hopefully this engine will be done by the time Cabin Fever rolls around, which hopefully will not be cancelled due to the Covid virus.
