I should note here, that the 1/4 hp Sipp is totally original as near as I can discern, and though it looks a bit shabby it runs up to good speed easily on nothing more than my lung power. I believe that it lived a long and useful working life of some kind, and was well maintained mechanically throughout it's existence. This new 1/2 hp model, I have developed no such feelings about, but I could well be wrong.

Guess I'll need to start another thread on the tear-down of this engine, and all that I find at issue inside. Probably be on the Restoration Board, so will link it here when I get around to it!
