2 Prizes from Cabin Fever
« on: January 27, 2025, 08:46:49 pm »
Just over a year ago at Cabin Fever I bought this 1/4 HP vertical piston valve engine (AJ Weed/PM Research) from my friend Colt Stewart.

I sold  to Bruce (20 minutes after I bought it for a tidy profit of just $1 over my cost.

Fast forward.... Bruce set it up with a drill press which looks great and he kindly sold it back to me!

I also found a Stuart Turner 800 1/4 HP Gas Engine, in need of a lot of work, which I was able to bring home.

I will start another thread to show work progress on the Stuart 800 in the Scale Model Gas Engine Board.
(I have been very busy in spare time working on it since we got home.

Below are pictures of both pieces.

This one needs only a good wipe down.

I’ve seen that 1/4 HP vertical in person in Bruce’s shop, if you ever get bored of it, send it my way!! 😍

Those Stuart 800s are good looking engines too!

Thanks, Nick!

I will keep you in mind if I ever let it go.

That large PMR vertical was one of the best milled machines I had the pleasure of owning (it ran so smooth), & the sensitive drill work exceedingly well & compliments it perfectly.
