#4 - The largest Maerklin 4097/9 with Dynamo 3391/1 - wow

No. 4 - an extraordinary piece of history - 4097/9 was only made around 1929/1930
very hard to find - a classic display of the time. The larger Dyno 3391/1 looks
perfect in size. The cylinder has 2 oils and much stronger connecting rods.
The boiler is equipped with the larger sight glass and the pressure valve with the weight.
As there are many 4097 in all Sizes on the market - the 9er is the really impressive one!

All of these engines look perfectly preserved , outstanding condition, another really nice one Arnold.

Very nice Arnold!! Always wanted to find a perfect one of these as you have shown... I do have a wreck of one, and if my memory is correct, mine has the same cover as the smaller models, just longer of course.

  Another super nice engine. It's interesting how they painted this generation of engine with brighter colors and the smoke detail. If memory serves Marklin wasn't the only one to do this. Did Art Deco influence this time period ? or what did ?

Silly me, just had a look and mine is 8cm boiler. Still quite large, but now I want the 9cm!  :D

THis is a rare engine in almost mint condition.
As it is equipped wit a generator, wouldn't this make it a model "4097/92/7"?

It is, if I understand this correctly, the forerunner of the 4098/8  - which in my humble opinion is much less rare than this version of the 4097.
