Another modified engine I built
« on: August 20, 2020, 07:32:42 am »
Been playing again. Took a Jensen 85 added a smoke stack support and smoke stack, mounted it on wood base, converted it to electric heat, put a flicker light in fire box so when its plugged in it looks like fire in firebox. Made a adapter and added a whistle.  Put a plug in firebox opening so power cord can be removed when not running for easyer dissplay.  Painted firebox black.

I made a brass tube and soldered into boiler. Using a cartridge rod heater.

Very nice Mod Randy, clever use of the detachable cord/plug on the front of the firebox , nice clean application. the addition of the chimney stand & stack really balance's the small plant out. the flicker bulb is just the icing on the cake....nice touch  ;)
I think we would all like to see much more of this, maybe a video of it running please

excellent modifications, the plug is a great touch.
I use the flickering LED's for all sorts of things including fake fire for boilers.

I really like that one Randy .... actually sort of looks like it could have been a very early Jensen offering, only brand new today!
