Hi all,
The brand Rocking Whale which is a Chinese company exporting terrific steam engines and steam engine plants around the world has a very unique trading name! I made mention of it a few times in my first video unboxing of the Rocking Whale RW BL1K.
I think it's a super cool name for a steam engine company and I wondered about its origin and Paul and I discussed it a bit as well and I have had a few other people reach out enquiring about the brand name.

So I made some enquiries and I have the background on this unique name now -

Regarding the two meanings of Rocking Whale:
Firstly, it refers to the observation that the steam engine emits a large amount of steam when operating, just like a whale spouting water.
Secondly, the names of the two founders are Ricky and Wendell.
Therefore, they registered the brand RW, Rocking Whale.
The literal meaning suggests something with abundant energy, able to swim in the water, and capable of spraying water, like a dancing whale.
