Resurrected Empco Metal Ware Strapped Boiler Engine

With a donation from
@komet163b
and critical machine work from
@Paula
I have brought back to life a Empco Metal Ware Strapped Boiler Engine (thank you guys). This is one of two engine examples I been wanting for my Empire Metal Ware Crop. collection! The donation from Wayne started off in really rough shape and it was missing a lot of parts too.
Here is a walk through video I did today of the engine. I forgot to mention in the video that I did have to rebuild the heater blanket. While the elements were burnt out, the mica was nearly intact. I did support the original mica with a few sheets of new mica that I keep in stock. The resistance was just a bit lower what it should be from similar sized Empire/EMPCO engines. I do run my engines now from an adjustable AC transformer, in the video I am running at 110v AC.

Excellent runner, good job on the rebuild.
I'm amazed you were successful.
Now, you need more Empires AND an Elektro,
the one that started it all. Hmmmm. They
do come up for auction from time to time.

Thanks Wayne! Though the re-painting has been quite the chore (latest SNAFU, a bit of flashing or milky look because I push the humidity max).
I suppose I wouldn't mind one of those vertical Elektro's - I like the looks of them. Though I only really need that D-Cell battery Engine - that I have never seen outside the Empire book. I don't have every sight variation difference but I have at least one Model number, short and long through the years (if I count the two badged Empco's).
