I watched the entire video with fascination, a few things occurred to me ,1. that was sure a lot of work for what looked like a run of the mill tuba. 2.that brass really is thin. 3.whomever owned must have been a boy between the ages of 10-14 yrs old and 4.....they sure knew what they were doing, not at all gentle with it...but certainly got the job done as part of they're everyday work.

Bruce - I had the same thoughts.  I was waiting to see him break thru the brass, with as creased and wrinkled as it was.  A lot of just brute strength and persistence.  I was surprised that the magnet had enough pull to allow the ball to do some smoothing.  At least he was "honest" at the end and (even tho it had come a long way) you could still see where the wrinkles were.

When I started the video, I wasnt expecting to watch the whole thing... but I did.
