The governor of Connecticut says he will sign an executive order keeping the state closed until at least May 20th.
I have been working from home for about 5 weeks. My computer situation turned out as convenient as imaginable given the current situation.
When this started I was nearly done transferring close to 3 terabytes of stored pictures, films, and other data to a computer with a lot more storage.
The older machine held 3 terabytes on 2 internal drives. The transfer is to a machine my son put together with slightly used but clean motherboard.
It has a 128 GB solid state hard drive for the operating system and anything else needing to boot up quickly. Then there are two 4 terabyte disc drives.
8 TB should hold off the storage monster for a while.
Then as the transfer was about to wrap up, I found myself working from home. For this reason, I have left the older PC and the newer both on my desk in the Office of Steam. This way I could easily dedicate one machine to my business work station during market hours and still have another set up next to it for personal tasks, e-mail, this forum, and sometimes looking up things work related without interrupting a work in progress on the work screens.
Here is a picture of my expanded work station(s).
