Cretors engine look alikes
« on: December 18, 2021, 03:26:37 pm »
Hi, just ran into a similar sized engine to a cretor, but did not have the cretor con rod guide. We're there other engines of similar size and vintage? I wish I had grabbed a picture :/

It does not have the same cross head as a typical cretors, this image above is apparently from cretors before the popcorn engines. If anyone has any info about these engines I would greatly appreciate it. I am not 100% sure it was a cretors engine, but I am confident it was not a dunbar, kingery, or sipp. Are there other manufacturers who had more of a "box bed" style engine in this size range?

I keep spamming this thread because I am terribly excited about this engine, sorry for that. What does a boxbed engine with governor fetch? The seller was asking 800 but I will see if he is able to work on that price, I'm not in a position to spend that kind of money on an engine
