Does anyone else collect antique motors and generators? (part one)

I seem to keep picking up early motors, most of them toy motors, a few that are a little larger.  I have quite a fascination for them, and wondered just how many other people collect these, as well.  Also, early generators, mostly model and toy ones.  I'm always interested in seeing ones that I don't have.  This is part one, as the last post may or may not have all of the flame lickers I tried to post.  I'll do this in two parts [ Guests cannot view attachments ] [ Guests cannot view attachments ] [ Guests cannot view attachments ] [ Guests cannot view attachments ] [ Guests cannot view attachments ]

Very nice group of definitely older members of the genre. Any chance at a better view of the hand cranked one hiding in the darkness behind the Sipp?

 I don't collect them, but they do turn up. The first one drives an old watchmaker's lathe that I found last week, the second is a H&K toy motor that was a surprise found in a box with a blue Mamod steam wagon, and the third powers my 1930's model of HMS Lance, the destroyer that fired England's first shot in WW1.

Nice collection Doug. Picked up a H-K at an auction for $60.00 took it home hooked it to a lantern battery and i

A picture of my small collection. Started out just looking for the Weeden Motors. But, I bought a few others along the way.

I see one, second from the right in the front row, called an Ajax, I believe. I once had one like that called a "Li'l Hustler." Are they the same?

Here is an early classroom demonstrator motor/generator.  It could be wired to work as either.  I found it at Cabin Fever a few years ago.  My son saw it and was so intrigued with it that I sent it home with him.  I realized I didn't have a pictures of it, so he sent me a few. That demonstrator is very nice indeed.

You know, it's amazing what you can find lying around in schools. I once found a huge old power hacksaw under the stage of a school auditorium. It had been parked there by the shop teacher, who said it wouldn't cut properly. I dragged it home, and it cut just fine once I turned the blade around. 😋

Hi Doug. Nice collection. In third picture, the one in the center is an Auto Sparker used on IHC gas engines. I have several IHC engines it would work on. Would you consider selling it?

Sorry I have a full size hit miss engine as well.
