Don't ask. I don't know what it is either Video soon.

This has been lying in my workshop for years.
I was hoping to fit a water level gauge, but I never got round to it.
Made the boiler watertight, filled her up and off she went. Won't win any beauty contests.
Video soon.

Going by the steam dome it may be a Marklin.

I can't identify it either, but definitely not Marklin.

I think the engine is worth to rebuild the water level and
to give it a good restoration. Model is not known to me but
the dome looks indeed like a Maerklin or Doll part. Need to
have more photos to see details like the manometer etc.
Awaiting your Video...

Well, John, that's a tough nut to crack.

I agree, it looks like a genuine item to me, very likely from Germany - or are there any traces that different components were joined later on this base???

The tiling looks like Bing, the cylinder Falk or Bing, the boiler does not seem to be made by Märklin...
Strange. I remember that I have seen similar cylinders and this type of oiler

For a brief moment I thought of "HA-Mobil" from Switzerland - but then Arnold would have recognized her.

A nice engine, really!

Thanks guys. I'm beginning to think that it might be a bitsa.
It came in pieces and had some obviously home made brass tubing attached to the water pump.
Anyway, I'm quite happy with it as it is. Now for a good search for a sight glass. :)

Hi John, Thank you for showing the engine here. I wish I had more to offer for a positive ID.
