Eitech Ferris Wheel
« on: April 23, 2021, 09:41:43 pm »
Really stoked to get one of these finally and at USD $115 delivered.

Looking forward to some hours with my grandson James (and maybe my granddaughter Ruby if she wants to) a couple of days a week after school until its finished and the 1200 pieces are a working Ferris wheel, I've always liked looking at the vids that other folks have of these running off a steam engine.

Sort the pieces carefully Jim , many are "slightly" different than others.

Thanks for the heads up Bruce, I'll try and put them into separate ice cream containers or something.

The windmill you sent me was job and a half, so this is going to take awhile I reckon mate.

Congratulations on the catch and have fun crafting with the kids. I had a kit like this myself as a child. It was from Trix.

Eitech definitely makes some fine construction sets, and the ferriswheel is right up there amongst their best.

Congratulations Jim!

Hello Jim,

your purchase has made me curious. I live in Germany, but the company eitech was not known to me until now. Therefore, I have looked around on their website something. Very interesting and especially the expansion possibilities of the systems convince. Even for the smallest children there are very great toys. Since this grandpa here was immediately wide awake. Starting in May, he'll need something for the little ones again. ::)
Cheers

G'day Jürgen I had only ever seen their ferris wheel converted to run via steam engine before (pretty sure Bruce, St Paul Steam was the first I saw) but when my grandson saw the name Eitech he said he had other smaller construction sets from them and that all the toys shops here stock this brand, so at least it seems to be a well known brand here in Australia and competes with Meccano.

I had thought about getting one of their larger cranes... made offers on a few, but haven’t found a steal yet...
